Life For Relief and Development

Dear friends of the Muslim-Christian dialogue,
As we begin Ramadan, I would like to invite you to an act of solidarity with those who continue to suffer in Syria and those who have been displaced from that country due to the violence.
Some of you know our dear sister, Khaula Sawah and her husband, Ashraf, who have been part of our dialogue for many years. Khaula is a pharmacist and a skilled organizer. Along with others in Greater Cincinnati, they have dedicated themselves to an effort to help supply a trauma hospital just across the northern border of Syria, in Turkey, to assist those in need. This local effort, named the Syrian American Foundation (SAF), is doing great work there, but they need more support.
So, I would like to invite you to join with me in fasting and prayer during these weeks, and to then donate from your sacrifices to the SAF. Checks should be made payable to “Life for Relief and Developement” and mailed to SAF, 8629 Essex Orchard Station Drive, Fairfield, OH, 45014. You might make a notation on the bottom that your gift is part of the Muslim-Christian dialogue.
Thank you for your compassion and faith.
A blessed Ramadan to all of our Muslim partners!
