Franciscans Network Hosting Pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi

Franciscans Network is hosting a pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi April 24, 2013 through May 5, 2013. Father John Quigley and fifteen pilgrims will walk the path of St. Francis and early Christians in this reflective ten day trip. The group will spend five days in Assisi going to sites such as Chiesa Nuova, San Damiano, and San Francesco.

From Assisi, the tour continues through the Tuscan countryside with a day in Greccio and the Rieti Valley before arriving in Rome for four days.

Rome holds many wonders of the early Christian faith. With Father John, the pilgrims will celebrate Mass at the tomb of Blessed John XXIII. They will visit the Roman Forum, the Marmatine prison where Peter and Paul were led to their executions, and San Clemente, a multileveled church that spans the history of Christendom in Rome.
